Director needed for Training, Research and Services Center

The University of
Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) Department of Psychology
anticipates hiring
a half-time (20-hour) Clinical Director for the newly developed Psychology
Department Training, Research, and Services Center, with an appointment
beginning in September, 2013. This is a 12-month position as a Clinical
Assistant Professor (non-tenure track) with a one- year contract and the
potential for renewal.The department is
searching for a Maryland licensed (or license-eligible) Psychologist with clinical
expertise in treatment and assessment of adults and experience in training and
supervision. The position will involve supervision of graduate student clinical
trainees, Center administration, and some direct services to clients.
Additional teaching opportunities for graduate and undergraduate courses in clinical
psychology may be available, but are not part of the core duties for this
position. Our Ph.D. program in Clinical Psychology is based on the
scientist-practitioner model and is accredited by the American Psychological Association.
Clinical training is offered as part of Human Services Psychology, which encompasses
broader aspects of community/social psychology and behavioral medicine in
addition to traditional aspects of clinical research and practice. UMBC is a
Research University located in the Baltimore-Washington corridor that provides
