Psychology department launches faculty search

The University of
Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) Department of Psychology
expects to make
a tenure-track appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor in Applied Behavior Analysis beginning in
August, 2014.We seek an academic
psychologist committed to research and teaching at the undergraduate and
graduate levels who will participate actively in our BACB-approved Master’s
Degree Program in Applied Behavior Analysis, offered in collaboration with the
Kennedy Krieger Institute at Johns Hopkins University. The successful candidate
must demonstrate strong potential for attracting external funding and mentoring
undergraduate and graduate student research. Content areas of research interest
are open. The UMBC Psychology department offers doctoral programs in Applied
Developmental Psychology and Human Services Psychology (including tracks in
Clinical Psychology (APA-accredited), Behavioral Medicine, and
Community/Applied Social Psychology). Applicants must have a Ph.D. in
Psychology or a related discipline completed by August 22, 2014. UMBC is
classified by the Carnegie Foundation as a Research University with high
research activity (RU/H). It is located in the Baltimore-Washington corridor
near major medical schools and federal research institutes that afford rich opportunities
