Here are the details for this year –
Tuesday, April 30th
Flash Mob and Popcorn | 12 PM | Between University Center and Math/Psych (outside Starbucks)
Student Panel | 4 PM | UC 312 (panel starts @ 4, doors open at 3:30)
As part of Mental Health Awareness week, the YouthFIRST Lab, UMBC Breaking Ground, UMBC NAMI, and the Department of Psychology host an annual event to promote mental health awareness on campus, and more broadly. We have partnered with many community mental health organizations and use this event as an opportunity to connect with the UMBC community and engage with future collaborators in supporting mental health awareness. The first event is a fun team event (a flash mob with free popcorn!) around 12 PM in the courtyard between the University Center and Math/Psych Building (outside Starbucks). Later that day, at 4pm, host a mental health panel where four UMBC students share their unique stories of navigating college and life with mental health challenges.
All are welcome!
